Vaccinations and Quarantine Protocols:
Any vaccinated Ohioan will no longer have to quarantine if they are exposed to someone with COVID-19.
This change in health order will allow 16 and 17 year old students that are vaccinated to participate in sports and other activities, even when they have been exposed to someone with COVID.
This change will also apply to all adults, except those who are in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or other congregate care settings outlined in the order.
Nursing homes and long-term care facilities should continue to quarantine following CDC guidance.
Wolstein Center Mass Vaccination Clinic:
Six week ago, we officially launched Ohio’s Mass Vaccination Clinic at Cleveland State’s Wolstein Center.
Since then, the team here has administered more than 237,000 first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
Ohio’s Mass Vaccination Clinic now accepts walk-ins and will offer first doses of the Pfizer vaccine this week and next week.
Vaccine Accessibility Efforts:
Governor DeWine highlighted positive stories about providers and organizations trying to make vaccinations and vaccine registration as convenient and simple as possible.
Some examples can be found below:
Workers at Progressive Field signing up those working at the ball game and fans for vaccination appointments.

In Franklin County, Columbus City Schools is working with the Columbus Health Department and Nationwide Children’s Hospital to vaccinate high school students who meet the age criteria.
The Mahoning County Health Department and the City of Youngstown have partnered together with “Just In Time,” a community ride and resource agency, to provide free roundtrip rides for people to get their vaccines.
